JIM ROSS: Hello everyone, and welcome to GWA Main Event! We're kicking things off with a match between two rising stars.


ROSS: Curtis Axel, who is a third generation superstar, the son of "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig and the grandson of Larry "The Axe" Hennig, looking to make a name for himself in the GWA.



ROSS: And Alex Riley, a very confident young man whose in-ring skills have been improving since arrivng in the GWA.


ROSS: Starting things off with a lockup here.

ROSS: And Axel now, forcing Riley up against the ropes.

ROSS: And the official telling Axel to release the hold.

ROSS: And telling him in no uncertain terms, that sort of behaviour will not slide in this match.


ROSS: Axel continuing to show that aggressive side, driving Riley into the corner with a shoulder block.

ROSS: Stomping away on the ribs, and Riley is in trouble here.


ROSS: Axel grabbing ahold of Riley's legs, and this will not end well for that young man.




ROSS: An impressive catapult by Axel, launching Riley over the top rope and to the floor!



ROSS: A smart strategy by Axel, not allowing Riley any time to recover.



ROSS: Huge impact from that elbow drop.






ROSS: A snap vertical suplex by Axel, and this one may be over before it's even began.



ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...

ROSS: And Riley gets the shoulder up. A near fall there, but not enough to put him away.




ROSS: Axel heads to the top rope.


ROSS: Axel hits the canvas, and that is the high risk element of top rope maneuvers. This could be the opening that Riley needs to turn this match back in his favour.

ROSS: Riley begins to stir.


ROSS: Riley trying to steady himself with the ropes.


ROSS: Axel beginning to stir as well now.



ROSS: An impressive German suplex there by Riley!


ROSS: Riley into the cover.


ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...

ROSS: A near fall, but Axel with the shoulder up at 2.




ROSS: An impressive leg drop there by Riley.



ROSS: Followed up with a Lionsault.



ROSS: What's Riley planning here?


ROSS: What impact off that maneuver!



ROSS: Riley with the cover again.


ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...


ROSS: And Axel with the shoulder up at 2 and a half.




ROSS: Axel with a big right hand, catching Riley right on the jaw.






ROSS: Riley's head bounced right off the top turnbuckle. And remember folks, we don't have protective turnbuckle pads in GWA. What a reprehensible action by Axel!





ROSS: And Axel returning the favour with that German suplex.


ROSS: That might be all she wrote folks.


ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...

ROSS: And you've got to admire the heart of this kid, Alex Riley, as he gets the shoulder up again. What a slobberknocker this has been.




ROSS: And Riley with a Crossface/Scissored Armbar combination here. Very impressive, and Axel is already flailing here.

ROSS: And Axel taps out. An impressive maneuver by Riley, that might be more at home in the Octagon, has led him to a victory here tonight.


ROSS: The referee checking on Axel, who also had an impressive showing tonight, but not enough to earn him a win.




ROSS: Axel nodding to Riley, seemingly impressed with the latter's performance.

TRIPLE H: The fans don't realise how important this match tonight is. They don't appreciate what it is that I'm trying to do. This ring is my home. I've done it all, I've seen it all and I've won it all. I'm a 13-time World champion. I've beaten everybody that there is to beat. I've paid my dues, I've earned the right to be here. You see, that's the difference between me and Alberto. I had to slug it out for almost a decade before I got my first World title opportunity. Del Rio's here for a couple of years, and he's already the champion? He didn't pay his dues. He didn't show me or the rest of the locker room any respect. Tonight, all of that changes. Tonight, I beat Alberto Del Rio in the middle of that ring and become a 14-time World champion. And at the same time, I'll beat some respect into him.

JIM ROSS: Strong words there from Triple H ahead of tonight's World Heavyweight Championship match. We'll hear Alberto Del Rio's thoughts later tonight, but for the moment, we're in for a match between two of the strangest men to ever set foot in a GWA ring.


ROSS: "Big Red" Erick Rowan. First arrived here as part of the Wyatt Family, but is now trying to make it on his own.


ROSS: Rowan's in for a tough night here as he takes on "The Bizzare One", Goldust. A veteran of this business, but certainly not slow in the ring.



ROSS: Goldust already beginning to play mind games, though I'm not sure what effect this will have on Rowan, if any.

ROSS: The referee calls for the bell.


ROSS: Goldust continuing with those mind games, trying to get inside Rowan's head.


ROSS: And that's what Rowan thinks of Goldust's games!




ROSS: Rowan with a takedown.


ROSS: He's choking the life out of Goldust!

ROSS: And the referee warning Rowan to abide by the rules.





ROSS: Rowan using his large size to his advantage, as he throws Goldust back to the canvas.


ROSS: Nicely executed legdrop there by Rowan!


ROSS: Rowan into the cover.


ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...

ROSS: And Goldust gets the shoulder up at 2.



ROSS: A huge slam there by Rowan, who is putting on an impressive performance here tonight.


ROSS: Followed up with a big elbow drop.

ROSS: And again with the choke! For God's sake ref, do your job!


ROSS: Rowan will need to learn to abide by the rules if he wants to continue his career in the GWA.


ROSS: Wait a minute! Goldust with a roll up from behind, looking to steal the victory!


ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...

ROSS: And Rowan kicks out at 2.


ROSS: Goldust attempting to turn the tide of this match in his favour.




ROSS: What a maneuver by Goldust! Rowan landed on the back of his head there, and he might be out!

ROSS: Goldust with the cover.


ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...

ROSS: And Rowan gets the shoulder up at 2. A near fall there for Goldust.





ROSS: Irish Whip by Rowan.

ROSS: And Goldust counters with his trademark uppercut!

ROSS: And Rowan is reeling!

ROSS: Goldust with a big splash against the ropes.

ROSS: He's hammering away with those punches!


ROSS: Goldust again into the cover.


ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...

ROSS: And again, Rowan gets the shoulder up at 2.

ROSS: Rowan is seeing lights!


ROSS: Cross Rhodes! Adopted from his younger brother, Cody Rhodes.


ROSS: 1...


ROSS: 2...


ROSS: 3! And Goldust picks up the win.




ROSS: Congratulations to Goldust, and stay tuned folks, as the World Heavyweight championship is on the line! Next, on GWA Main Event!

ALBERTO DEL RIO: You know, Triple H spends a lot of time talking about how I don't deserve to be here, or be the World champion. That I haven't respected him, or paid my dues. I worked hard in Mexico, working to be the best that I could be. My goal was always to get here, to the GWA and be the World champion. And I've done that, I've beaten everybody that there is. Apart from Triple H. But tonight, I beat Triple H in the middle of the ring and prove that I'm better than him. He said that this ring is his home. That's the difference. It's his home. But it's my life, and that's why I'm not going to lose tonight.



JIM ROSS: Ladies and Gentlemen, you've heard from both superstars. Now, the time for talking is over, the World Heavyweight championship is on the line.






ROSS: The challenger, Triple H, a 13 time World champion. He has walked this road so many times before. He knows what's at stake here tonight.





ROSS: The Cerebral Assassin. The Game. The King of Kings. He has many names, many attributes. But the one thing that he is, above all else, is one tough son of a bitch.




ROSS: And there he is. The charismatic World Heavyweight champion, Alberto Del Rio.





ROSS: The champion staring right at the challenger. A lot of bad blood between these two.





ROSS: The referee calls for the bell, and it's on right now folks, I'll tell you that. This is going to be a slobberknocker, without a doubt.





ROSS: What disrespect! Triple H slapping the taste right out of Del Rio's mouth!




ROSS: And Del Rio now, hammering away on The Game!






ROSS: Del Rio is unrelenting with this assault against the challenger!



ROSS: Driving those boots straight into the face!






ROSS: What a sickening impact! Del Rio may be injured here.







ROSS: Shades of the great Arn Anderson with that spinebuster!






ROSS: 1...




ROSS: 2...



ROSS: And Del Rio gets the shoulder up at 2.



ROSS: Wait a minute!



ROSS: Del Rio counters into the Cross Armbreaker!




ROSS: Triple H is flailing! Desperately trying to reach the ropes!




ROSS: He reaches the ropes, but has the damage already been done?






ROSS: What a kick by Del Rio!







ROSS: For the love of God! No!



ROSS: Moonsault to the outside!






ROSS: Del Rio rolls Triple H back into the ring now.




ROSS: Helmsley could be out cold here!






ROSS: 1...




ROSS: 2...



ROSS: And a kick out by Triple H at 2.






ROSS: Here comes Del Rio!







ROSS: As much as I hate to say it, that was a smart move there by Triple H, pulling down on the top rope.




ROSS: Del Rio struggles back to his feet.



ROSS: Look out!




ROSS: My God! What a clothesline!







ROSS: 1...




ROSS: 2...



ROSS: And Del Rio grabs the bottom rope! If he'd been an inch or so further, Triple H may have just won the title!




ROSS: What a brawl this has been, and it's starting to take its toll on these competitors.






ROSS: PEDIGREE! PEDIGREE! THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE FOLKS, THIS ONE'S OVER!



ROSS: Can The Game get the cover?





ROSS: Both men are completely out of it!




ROSS: The referee is beginning to count both men out here!




ROSS: Can either of these men answer the count?


ROSS: Triple H is beginning to stir here, does he have anything left in the tank?





ROSS: Del Rio has not moved since that Pedigree.




ROSS: 1...




ROSS: 2...



ROSS: BY GOD! HE KICKED OUT! HOW IN THE HELL?!



ROSS: TRIPLE H DOESN'T BELIEVE IT! I DON'T BELIEVE IT! THESE PEOPLE DON'T BELIEVE IT!



ROSS: Both men, crawling to a corner of the ring. Trying to muster something, deep down inside, that will enable one of them to win this match.







ROSS: Into a tie up here.





ROSS: The referee now, trying to break these two bitter rivals apart!



ROSS: BY GOD ALMIGHTY, THE REFEREE IS OUT COLD!





ROSS: DEL RIO IS DOWN! TRIPLE H IS DOWN! THE REFEREE IS DOWN!



ROSS: Where's he going?!




ROSS: NO! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PUT THAT DOWN YOU SON OF A BITCH!




ROSS: NO! SOMEBODY GET OUT HERE AND GET THAT THING AWAY FROM HIM!



ROSS: YES! YES! DEL RIO MOVED OUT OF THE WAY!




ROSS: LOOK OUT ALBERTO!



ROSS: WHAT A COUNTER!








ROSS: CROSS ARMBREAKER! TAP YOU SON OF A BITCH!





ROSS: HE TAPPED!
